What are your main sources of inspiration? Tell us 3 top references for your work.
My sources of inspiration are everywhere. I observe colour combinations, compositions, lights and textures in different things. Everyday scenes, landscapes, nature, objects, architecture, decoration, art, music and fashion inspire me. But certainly, my main inspiration sources are colours and its relation with the space, composition and shapes, Human Figure and Landscape.
Do you have a routine or ritual to enable creativity? Share with us.
If I don’t have any Commissions to do I sit in my studio in the morning with a coffee and I grab some paper or canvas and I start making my artwork. Sometimes I take old works that I’ve left on standby and I try to finish them. If I am not inspired, I would look into social media, Instagram or Pinterest images of decoration, colours, compositions, artist and fashion designers that inspire me. If this doesn’t work, I usually go for a run to the beach or a surf and I always come back with something.
Do you use your fashion style as a way to express your personality/creativity? And has fashion ever been a source of inspiration for you and if yes can you give us a concrete example?
Fashion it’s definitely a way to express myself. Since I was 4 years old, I’ve always been passioned about it. When I was living in Chile, during Uni days, a friend and I opened a fashion shop in the arts and design faculty, where we designed, manufactured and sell our own clothes. For me, fashion is something that fulfils my life and makes me feel good, happy and creative. I play with clothes I have every day, trying not to repeat any combination, using every time something different.

What is your favourite work and what it represents within your line of work?
I really like “Light and Lines I”, one of my latest artworks. I like its composition, colours and dynamism of the image. It has a new style that I’ve been working on lately. I started exploring more abstract work at the end of last year and this is the first of those artworks. It’s been fun and challenging at the same time not to have a central image or object of attention and making the whole image works as the final result.
Do you use your art to convey any social or political issues? If yes what are the current movements you relate the most?
No, I don’t usually try to convey any political or social issues. I think in these days everything its so delicate in those terms that I don’t like to make any statement about it. Of course I have my own ideas, but it’s not something I express (or intend to do) though my artwork. I respect others’ opinions, and although I am very conscious of mine, I prefer to keep it private. The only cause I feel it’s something that affect us all and that I like to share is the Planet issues. It is one of the reasons I use archival materials who last long time and are really good quality. Also in my every day work I try as much as possible not to use plastic supports.
Do you think it's important to be part of a creative female group? Are you part of any in particular? Do you have a female role model you relate to?
I am very proud to be woman, and I try to support women work but I am also opened to work with everyone who can contribute something to me and to the rest. My Mum it’s a big model to me, she is strong, hard worker and positive person, who significantly influenced the woman I am today.
What are the key elements that would make you want to collaborate with a brand?
I really like the style, the designs and how feminine Unreal Fields is. I feel identified with the designs of the brand. I feel that I could wear all the shoes you have. Unreal Fields enhances style, originality in an elegant and sophisticated way.
Do you identify with Unreal Fields? How?
I identify myself with the colours the brand uses, and the classic and contemporary styles mix. Also, I love the versatile and natural way Unreal fields presents it’s brand. The designs are pure and simple but at the same time very original.
If you could make a photoshoot with a pair of Unreal Fields shoes together with one of your works, which work would that be?
I will use “Pink and red vibes II and I”, which I made specially inspired by your brand and my style together.
What's your favourite UF shoe model?
Its hard to choose just one pair (I would love to have many of them), but I think I will choose the 2 Faced- Fuchsia Leather Platform Creepers.
