It’s time for a #FashionRevolution
INLU endorses Fashion Revolution, the world’s largest fashion activism movement,
by showing how and where the brand’s shoes are made
May, 2013. The fashion revolution began with an e-mail, signed by British Carry Somers and Orsola de Castro, reacting to the Rana Plaza building collapse, Bangladesh, some fifteen days before. It was the perfect timing for a worldwide revolution, a movement encouraging important changes, advocating sustainability, uniting all those involved in the production of garments around the world – whether designers, brands, retailers, makers or workers. Today, more than 90 countries have already came aboard.
November, 2017. The shoes may still be sketches on paper, but INLU is already embracing the #FashionRevolution movement. By valuing people and creativity, cherishing craftsmanship and know-how, stimulating the economic activity and respecting the production timings, the brand shares the core values of the global movement, aiming for changes on the industry, inviting and inspiring other brands to acknowledge its importance to the fashion world.
INLU is also committed to advertise Fashion Revolution’s vision and importance, encouraging fashion lovers to join in, simply by asking their favourite brands who made their clothes and shoes, tagging the questions on social media platforms with #WhoMadeMyClothes, #WhoMadeMyShoes and #FashionRevolution. INLU will be answering all questions asked in a transparent way, and showing the faces (and hands) behind each pair of crafted shoes, celebrating fashion to the fullest.
Created in 2017, presented in 2018, soon coveted by shoeaholics that go for stylish and comfortable shoes with an edge, INLU is a Lisbon-based brand with a very straightforward approach on shoes: function and aesthetics must have equal importance in the creation of an accessory that is supportive and simultaneously an accurate personal statement of style.
INLU gathered the most experienced Portuguese craftsmen, the best raw materials (such as cork and leather), and a hint of modern design and creativity to the equation. This is the formula that will make of you an INLUver.
